Technical Service Provider Summit
“Expanding the Capabilities of Conservation
Service on Private Lands”
|
The U.S. Department of
Agriculture is implementing the Technical Service Provider process
outlined in the 2002 Farm Bill. The Department held a Technical
Service Provider Summit on November 7, 2002, in the Jefferson Auditorium
of the USDA headquarters complex in Washington, D.C. to hear comments from the public on the process. The morning session featured Deputy Secretary of Agriculture Jim Moseley, NRCS Chief Bruce Knight, and Farm Service Agency (FSA) Administrator Jim Little, as well as panels of prospective technical service provider recipients and prospective private sector and public sector providers who commented on the proposed process. Listening sessions in the afternoon gave the audience and callers the opportunity to present comments to NRCS and FSA leadership. Click on the link below to view a video replay of the Webcast.
